Immediately After Your Procedure
Dr. Lo’s transaxillary breast implant surgery typically takes about 45 minutes, and you can have someone drive you home the same day. Once you get home, make yourself as comfortable as possible and prepare to get plenty of rest. You might experience slight discomfort, tightness, and swelling during the first few days post-op. This is to be expected and can be managed with pain medication prescribed by Dr. Lo if necessary.
Proper recovery is crucial in ensuring the best outcomes. Usually, post-procedure pain and discomfort tend to peak on the second or third day and then gradually reduce after that. The First Week

Swelling continues to decrease, and you can start introducing short physical exercises. Remember to always get the go-ahead from Dr. Lo during one of your check-up appointments before reintroducing certain activities.
Six Weeks and Beyond
Most people have fully recovered and are back to their daily routines. There is minimal to no swelling, and the scar in the armpits is starting to fade. Any pain or discomfort will have completely subsided, and your final results will become more visible as your implants settle.

Since the transaxillary incision is in your armpits, the scar is minimal and well concealed. Here is what to expect as your scars heal:
